Il Decamerone : Emperor Of The Day
A quarantine fashion editorial taken with Photo Booth.
During the Black Death in the 14th century, Giovanni Boccacio escaped with his friends to a country house near Florence. They were kept entertained by daily determining a different king or queen, who specified the topic of the day to which each of them had to make up a story. In a collection of a hundred novels called Il Decamerone, Giovanni described their experience with the plague in Florence.
Right now, we are reliving a pandemic. We have asked seven people from the creative community to express their interpretation of Il Decamarone’s relation to current Corona times with their own sense of fashion.
